Simple Methods to make effective controls for project management

The project management is the key point of project implementation, not only to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the project within the prescribed time, but also to ensure that the project can achieve certain economic benefits through the model of scientific management.

Only by strengthening project management can we ensure the quality of the project, reduce the cost, shorten the duration, improve the competitiveness of the construction enterprises in the market, and play an important role in the survival and development of the construction enterprises.

In order to carry out project management successfully, strict and reasonable procedures must be developed to regulate management methods and strict implementation, while project managers must clear project management objectives, flexible choice of appropriate and targeted project management methods.

Because of the one-time nature of projects and the complex diversity of project management, more innovative project management approaches should be adopted to enable projects to produce better economic, social and environmental benefits under innovative approaches.

Project management can be summed up as "three controls, two management, one coordination", three control refers to progress (duration) control, cost (investment) control and quality control; among them, the project management is the most critical "three controls", a project management must do a good job of duration (progress) control, cost (investment) control and quality control in order to better carry out construction, completion of construction.

Progress (duration) control

The progress control is one of the most important factors in project management, mainly the use of scientific methods to determine the project's progress target, preparation of progress plan and resource supply plan, while establishing a strict contract network system and project management model and organizational structure for progress control, and with the quality, cost objectives to ensure that the project is completed on schedule, to achieve the desired goals.

To achieve the project's progress goals, the project's schedule should first be prepared. the schedule is the basis of progress control and management, which is mainly used to represent the sequence of work carried out in the project, the start and completion time and the plan of the interface.

Depending on the content, the schedule can be divided into the overall project schedule, item progress plan, annual schedule, etc.

Cost (investment) control

The cost control is based on the construction project as the management object, according to the overall goal of the enterprise and the specific requirements of the project, in the implementation process of the project.

The project cost for effective organization, implementation, control, tracking, analysis and appraisal, the establishment of a standardized, unified, standard combination of responsibility and responsibility of the cost management model, in order to rational use of resources, reduce project costs, and improve economic efficiency.

Cost control is mainly divided into bidding, contract phase cost control, construction preparation phase cost control, cost control in the construction process and cost control in the construction process.

In order to strengthen the project cost management, we should establish a solid sense of cost control, and establish the corresponding management system and organizational leadership, grasp the key link of cost management, at the same time, we should pay attention to and solve the problems in cost management, the whole process of project cost control.

Quality control

The quality control is under the guidance of clear quality policy, through the construction program and resource allocation planning, implementation, inspection and disposal of construction quality target control, mainly divided into pre-control, in-event control and after-the-fact control.

These three links complement each other and dynamically control quality to ensure quality management and quality control and continuous improvement.

In order to ensure quality control, the following three points should be achieved: (1) strict material quality control, put an end to "no guarantee, no certificate, no inspection standards" of the three no materials into the field;
