Business process management | Project Management

The purpose of this business process management is to identify and formalize the activities and/or events required in business process within organization.  The plan will include policy, business flow, documentation, etc. as appropriate for this business process management. This business process management provides the customer a structure with a beginning, and ending, and clearly identify inputs and outputs from which to establish a course of action to accomplish this process. 





The Business Process management involves identifying the input and output requirements, identifying the activities/events that make up the main processes and sub-processes, and identifying the participants involved in the process and their function.   

What can be objectives?

Our business process plan will help standardize procedures for business process.  By effectively formalizing these activities/events we establish a framework for other customers.

How to use this template?

Process Name:

Describe the name of the process and official abbreviation, if any for this process for internal communication.

Description:

Here you have to describe the main purpose of this process. As well you have to describe your overall business process management requirements, objective management, and your plans.

Primary products:

Identify the primary product(s) and a brief explanation of each.  Identify who will use each primary product. Even, you have to also describe your product details with specific segment where your product can be maximum consume.

Trigger(s):


Identify the event(s) that trigger the process.  (Triggers can be an actual event, a calendar date, a human task or an external process. Normally this can be part of the process management or planning for each department requirements, actual process involvements and product processing.

Sub processes:

If the process is subdivided, identify sub processes here with a brief description of each. Normally, every manufacturing and service may use the sub processes that make easier their works with sub activities. Hence, you have to describe details about it.

Standard Path Events/Activities:

  • Describe the activities and/or events that occur for the main process.
  • General activities and/or events that occur in a specific sub process.
  • Identify where and/or how an alternative path breaks off from the standard path.

Alternative Path Events/Activities:

You have to Identify the activities and/or events that occur as part of the alternative path for this process; note where the alternative path breaks off from the standard path, and end with a note on where the alternative path rejoins the standard path, if it does.  If an alternate activity or event occurs in a specific sub process, identify the sub process that includes the activity/event.
Inputs:
  • Very first, Identify the inputs to the process and briefly explain each.
  • Identify the source of each input.
  • If the input is specific to a sub process, identify the sub process.

Secondary Products:

  • For the secondary products, Identify the byproducts that result from the process.
  • Identify the user of each byproduct.
  • If the secondary product is specific to a sub process, identify the sub process.

Participants:

You have to Identify the participants involved in the process with a brief explanation of their function.  If a participant is active only in a specific sub process, identify the sub process.

Process Flow chart

Usually, the process flow chart may help to outline your business process within the organization. This is very important part of the business process management. Hence, you have to describe all the process with process mapping, relationship of the processes, as well as inputs and outputs from the processes.
