Think with the thinking of project management

A project is the general name of a number of related work that meets a specific set of goals within a certain period of time and resource constraints. simply put, in order to do something, we need to allocate resources properly.

First of all, our understanding of the project should not be mistaken, not only the three gorges dam such a large project is a project. in life, many of the things we encounter can be solved by the thinking of project management.

College welcome must be a lot of people have done this thing, but has any students ever thought of their own work flow recorded to help their younger siblings quickly get to work this new job?

This issue relates to project management deliverables. in project management, we not only need to complete a job, but more importantly, we need to document our own work process, for the company to precipitate a set of processes. "give fish is better than give fish", master the process, later generations can do the same thing quickly.

Let me give you another example. everyone must have been to the supermarket, i'm afraid there have been forgotten to buy something or keep walking around the supermarket to waste a lot of time? what causes this? it's because we didn't manage the inventory well. imagine if we had pulled the list before we went to the supermarket, then when we entered the supermarket, our goal would have been clear, and we knew what we were going to buy and what we were not going to buy. the benefit of this is that it saves time and controls the budget on the other.

In the project management, the most important thinking is the following points, i would like to explain separately.

One: manage the center of gravity forward

If the most important point is said, i am afraid that the non-management center of gravity has moved forward. how to manage the center of gravity forward, that is, to learn to pull the list, make a plan.

Making changes during the planning phase is the least costly. we also go to the supermarket shopping as an example, if you have already bought before you find that you have bought something more, at this time, to change the demand is to return or re-buy is a waste of time. however, if we have determined what to buy and how much to buy before we go shopping, we can take the "bee path" and effectively control costs and time.

Step 1

List what you need to do, and you don't need to sort things this time, try to be exhausted.

Step 2: prioritize and encode the manifest.

We need to sort the list and encode it. the purpose of this step is to identify the approximate steps to do things and the stakeholders. After these two steps, the management center forward can basically complete most of it. then, someone has to ask, spend so much time to plan, will not delay the progress of the project. it is safe to say that the previous plan is effective, and the subsequent process can proceed quickly. if the plan is not done well, then in the follow-up process, once the problem is found, the need to revise the plan, it will be time-consuming and laborious, the duration is not guaranteed! therefore, the plan should not only do, but also do it effectively!

Two: precipitate a set of processes

the purpose of the project is not only to complete the results, but most importantly, to precipitate a process for the organization once completed. let's go back to the new example, if the schoolgirse can completely write a project process after doing the new job, then for the next to participate in the new school sister, it is an important organizational process assets.

as an example, if a business has a problem, the staff solves the problem on their own. but they didn't document the solution. when the same problem is encountered in the future, the parties have to seek out those who solved the problem in the first place. this process is time-consuming and laborious. it also shows that the project management maturity of this organization is immature, and the knowledge management of this organization is very scarce.

Three: think systematically

management is a systematic process of thinking. the so-called systematic thinking is that when we manage a job, we have to look a little farther, a little deeper, through the phenomenon to see the essence.

For example, the workshop director of an enterprise is always scolded because the processing task of the workshop is always not complete. so at first glance to see this case, we feel that the workshop can not complete the task on time is indeed the workshop director's dereliction of duty. but on closer inspection, we will find that the workshop is actually the last department on the production line.

From the beginning of the sales department, to the design, to procurement and so on, to the final workshop production, which part of the middle of the problem will lead to the workshop can not complete the task. for example, the sales department signed a bill to increase the load of the workshop, the design department delayed the design draft, resulting in the delivery of the design to the workshop when the schedule is already few, the procurement department delayed procurement, so that the workshop does not have enough raw materials to produce.

All of these behaviors can cause problems with the final production process. therefore, when problems arise, we should not only look at the problem from the surface, but also through the phenomenon to see the essence.

Apply this theory to our lives, for example, when we study hard, the results still do not improve, then we can not only inward or outward attribution, but should think about the essential reasons for the achievement can not go up, such as careless, such as review focus is not right and so on. when we use the thinking of systematic thinking to observe life, we will avoid making the mistake of being self-defeating or just self-indulgent!

The idea of project management can be used in life, if one day we can put these theories in the heart, then our efficiency and effectiveness will be greatly improved!
