Different styles of leadership



From research conduct found that the performance of leadership depends very much on the organization. What can be said is that leaders can be effective to in certain situations and not effective in other situations. Efforts to improve the effectiveness of the organization or group should begin from learning, not just how to train leaders effectively, but also to build organizational environments where a leader can work well.

The leadership style is the way used in the process of leadership behavior implemented in someone to influence others to act in accordance with what he wants. In addition, according leadership styles can also be defined as a pattern of behavior that is designed to integrate the objectives of the organization with the purpose of the individual to achieve a particular purpose.


There are three leadership styles leadership style:


A democratic leadership style, leadership style (Non Control)

Leadership style


Leadership is the leadership style that uses the methods of approach to power in reaching decisions and the development of its structure, so that the most disadvantaged power in the Organization.

Leadership style Democratic/Participatory


Democratic Leadership is characterized by the presence of a structure development using cooperative decision making approach. Under the leadership of democratic subordinates tend to high moral, can work together, giving priority to the quality of work and can drive yourself.

Democratic leaders describe the leadership style that tends to involve employees in decision-making, delegating power, encourage participation by employee in determining how working methods and objectives to be achieve. It looking for feedback as an opportunity to train employees. State that the style of leadership that appreciates the ability of employees. To distribute knowledge and creativity to improving services, develop business, and generate a lot of profit can be motivators for employees in work .


The characteristics of a democratic leadership style:

Leadership style (Non Control)


Free control leadership style describes the overall leaders give their employees or groups of freedom in the making decision. It complete the work according to the way which is most appropriate according to their employees:

Features of non-control leadership style:

  1. Full freedom for the individual or group decisions with minimal participation from the leader.

  3. Absolutely no participation from leaders in the determination of the tasks.

  4. Sometimes giving comment against members or spontaneous questions and do not intend to judge or organize an event.


The characteristics of non-control leadership style:



  1. Leaders of letting his subordinates to organize itself.

  2. The leader only determines the wisdom and general purpose.

  3. A subordinate can take the relevant decisions in order to achieve the goal in all that they deem fit.
