These principles are use by top management to help improve the performance of an industry or company. Here are the 8 basic principles of ISO 9001:


Customer focus


The company or Industry is very dependent on the customer. Therefore, any industry or company should understand the needs and wants of customers’ needs and wants of both now and in the future.
The leadership

The leader of the industry or company should be able to set the goal and direction of the industry or company. In addition, leaders from the industry or the company shall create and maintain the internal environment so that people can become fully involve in achieving the goals of the industry or company.

Involvement of Personnel


Involvement of personnel is an important factor. By involving the entire personnel, benefits receive or industrial company will be bigger. The benefits obtain in the industry or company applying the principle of involvement of personnel are:

  • People in the industry or the company more actively in doing innovation so that the objectives of the industry or company achieve.

  • People in the industry or company being responsible for their performance.


Process approach


A Process Approach the desire result is achieve more efficiently when activities and related resources are manage as a process. One of the methods use to process approach is the PDCA. PDCA can be describe briefly as follows:

  • Plan: set goals and processes necessary to deliver results in accordance with customer's requirements.

  • Do: Implementation process.

  • Check: monitor and measuring process against policy objectives and requirements for the product and report the result.

  • Action: perform corrective actions on an ongoing basis.


Systems approach towards the Management


Identifying, understanding, and management of processes, interconnected as a system, will contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency to the industry or the company in achieving its aims.

Increase constantly from overall organizational performance should be a permanent objective of the organization. Improve constantly done to increase the effectiveness of the Organization to meet the policies and goals of the organization.

An industry and its suppliers are interdependent, and a mutually beneficial relationship that will enhance the ability of the joint in creating add value.
